Real quick is there anyway to build a circuit into an existing doorbell system that once the bell was rung a light would come on and stay on till it was reset by a push button?
You can impliment a simple monostable multivibrator, which will get triggered when the button of the doorbell is pressed, and you can reset the 555 with another push button that will reset the system
