UnitV2 from M5Stack is a high-efficiency AI Camera module that combines SigmaStar SSD202D (ARM Cortex-A7 dual-core 1.2GHz) processor with 128MB DDR3, and a GC2145 2MP camera sensor. Based on the Linux system, and the variety of peripherals, this standalone device is compatible with different development tools.
The M5Stack UnitV2 comes with 512MB NAND Flash, 2.4G Wi-Fi, and a cooling fan. Additionally, the camera has a built-in USB LAN so that users can easily connect it to a PC through the USB-C port or Wi-Fi. AI recognition applications developed by M5Stack such as face recognition, object tracking, color tracker, shape detector, and barcode detector are also integrated into the device to help users build their own AI applications. With a free connectable style, the camera can also be connected and debugged via Wi-Fi. UART serial port communication and all identification content are automatically output in JSON format through the serial port.
The software applications, hardware resources, and development tools of the M5Stack UnitV2 offer users an ideal AI development experience out of the box. Through SSH access, users can fully control the hardware resources of the device and easily build a custom recognition model through M5Stack's V-Training (AI model training service). The camera is ideal for AI applications such as home automation, retail, and more. It is available at USD $75.
