Sensirion announced its new humidity and temperature sensor module, the SCC30-DB, that can be placed anywhere in a device and connected by the main board with a cable. Some applications require a humidity and temperature sensor to be located in a specific part of the device – often at a different location to the main control board, making the SCC30 a good choice for such applications.
The SCC30 is optimized for easy design-in and sensing performance. Moreover, it offers superior sensor performance with capacitive sensor elements and a very attractive price/performance ratio due to Sensirion’s latest generation of highly integrated humidity and temperature sensors SHT3x.
The module provides high reliability and excellent long-term stability, a broad supply voltage range of 2.4 V to 5.5 V and delivers fully calibrated and processed measurement values through an I2C interface. The SCC30-DB comes in a compact design with connector and easy-to-use digital interface that makes it a cost-effective and versatile plug-and-play solution for a wide range of applications.
Typical applications are air treatment devices such as air conditioners, air purifiers, humidifiers and dehumidifiers. The SCC30-DB is also optimally suited for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and other appliance products.
