Jupiter Nano from Starcat is a small yet high-performance open-source development board that is equipped with a Microchip SAMA5D27C-LD1G running at 498 Mhz and is capable of running NuttX RTOS or Linux. Measuring just 1.125″ x 2.5″, the tiny 48-pin form factor is similar in size to Teensy 4.1.
Ideal for Arduino users who need a tiny, powerful computer with more CPU power, lots of RAM, or an internet-connected real time operating system (NuttX), Jupiter Nano offers a feature set for various applications. It is a high-speed, low-latency solution for controlling robots, drones, aircraft or LED arrays using an embedded computer. Moreover, it serves as a platform upon which high-speed miniature data logger with gigabytes of storage is built. Also, it is an embedded device with which users can record and/or play large amounts of audio.
It is the open-source hardware with KiCAD files, schematics, project files, and software source code released after funding is completed. Compared to Arduino Due, the processor of Jupiter Nano is 10 times more powerful and comes with 1280 times more RAM.

Jupiter Nano board is launched on Crowd Supply as part of the “Microchip Get Launched” design program. First 50 pieces will be sold at $65 and will go up to $79 after that. There are no shipping charges in the US but $10 is charged for the rest of the world, and deliveries are expected to start in December 2021.
