Solar-Powered Well Water Level Monitor

Exciting news for those who rely on well water! A new project has emerged, showcasing a solar-powered well water level monitor that allows users to monitor their well water levels and receive alerts. With the increasing concern over water scarcity during dry summers, this project provides a practical solution for monitoring water resources.

The project utilizes an Espressif ESP32-WROOM-32U microcontroller, making it accessible to beginners and enthusiasts alike. It also incorporates a 0.5-4.5V DC contact level transmitter with a 10-meter depth range, ensuring accurate measurement of water levels. To power the system, a DFRobot Solar Power Manager 5V V1.1 is employed, enabling solar energy utilization.

The collected sensor data is transmitted to InfluxDB, a time-series database, and visualized using Grafana, a data visualization platform. This combination allows users to analyze trends and historical data related to their well water levels. By setting up accounts and obtaining the necessary credentials, users can easily integrate their data into InfluxDB and create customized dashboards in Grafana.

The project offers two options: a fixed position solar panel and a tracking solar panel (coming soon). The fixed position option provides a cost-effective solution, while the tracking panel optimizes solar energy utilization by following the sun's path. With the ability to select the desired configuration, users can tailor the system to their specific needs.

This solar-powered well water level monitor provides an innovative and sustainable approach to water resource management. By leveraging microcontroller technology, wireless connectivity, and renewable energy sources, users can stay informed about their well water levels, helping them make informed decisions and take necessary actions to conserve water. With this project, monitoring and safeguarding well water resources has become more accessible and convenient.
