XP Power has introduced two new series of wide input range chassis and DIN rail mount DC-DC converters, which can be installed into a wide variety of industrial and ITE applications.
The DTE06 and DTE10 DC-DC converters provide 6W and 10W of power output. Further offering an input range 4:1 and allowing a wide tolerance for fluctuating supplies. With nominal inputs of 12/24VDC and 24/48VDC the series cover inputs between 9.0VDC and 75.0VDC.
The devices are supplied fully potted (generally for shock protection) in chassis mount format with screw terminals. A DIN rail mount is available for use in control cabinets and household consumer units. A LED indicator is added to which confirm, if the operation is being executed in a correct manner. All of the above introduced DC-DC converters are IEC/UL/cUL 62368-1 safety approved and offer 3.0kVDC isolation between the supply and load. These also comply with EN55032 Class A emissions meaning no external electronic components will be harmed by their presence. Hence, no additional filtering is required for EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) compliance.
The device itself and the equipment that it is powering might benefit from a range of safety features including input under-voltage, short circuit and overload protection. These DC-DC converters can be controlled by a remote on/off feature. The DTE06 and DTE10 series operate over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, and deliver full rated power at temperatures up to +80°C.
The DTE06 & DTE10 series DC-DC converters are available from Digi-Key, element14, Farnell, RS Components, approved regional distributors, or direct from XP Power and offer a 3-year warranty.
